The Van Cortlandt Park Alliance has spent the last few years focusing on the wetlands in Van Cortlandt Park. Did you know that more than half of the freshwater wetlands left in the Bronx are within VCP? But what is a wetland?

This activity explores that questions through one of our favorite things- food! What better way to learn than by using all of your senses (thereby making the activity more memorable and reinforcing the facts).  This activity is so much fun, and so delicious, that your children might not even notice the learning happening.
