Community Volunteer Event: Wet Meadow Maintenance

Join Van Cortlandt Park Alliance and NYC Audubon in maintaining the health of a wet meadow within Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.

A small wet meadow within Van Cortlandt Park is home to a diverse plant assemblage, attracting a wide variety of pollinators and bird species. Two bird houses within the meadow house tree swallows and house wrens.  VCPA, with NYC Audubon, is working towards improving the health and diversity of this meadow. Join us to assist in plant removals and plantings of pollinator plant species.

Please wear long pants and sturdy shoes and bring along water.
