Discover VCP: An Autumn Hike & Forest Exploration

Join us for an enriching hike and forest exploration experience along the Cass Gallagher Trail. Led by Volunteer Coordinator Noel Hefele, this leisurely walk covers 2-3 miles and offers a fresh look at both native and invasive tree species in our Northwest forest.

- Identifying native and invasive species
- Hidden gems and overlooked details in Van Cortlandt Park
What to Bring
- Sturdy shoes and long pants
- Water
- Optional: Notebook and camera for capturing the scenery and your thoughts

- Date: November 4th, 2023
- Time: 1 pm – 3 pm
- Meeting Point: VCPA Garden and Compost Site
- The hike will start at approximately 1:10 pm.
Pets, on leashes, are welcome! The hike is suitable for all ages, though keep in mind that there are moderate elevation changes.
While registration is free, we encourage you to register in advance as the number of participants is limited to ensure a quality experience. Walk-ins are also welcome.
