Miles of trails traverse the natural areas of Van Cortlandt Park, and they are in need of some regular maintenance. Volunteers will assist staff on maintenance of the cross country course, and other trails throughout the park. This work includes water bar and check step maintenance, corridor clearing, raking, etc. No prior experience is needed. Bring along a water bottle and wear sturdy closed-toed shoes and long pants. Every Friday during August 2022, volunteers can join VCPA staff in maintaining the Northwest Forest of Van Cortlandt Park.
