Afterschool EcoHike

Children in grades K-5 and their parents/guardians will take a walk, learn about local plants, and explore nature in VCP!
In this free guided hike, families will hit the trails while learning about amazing local wildlife, and get to fill out a Nature Journal provided by EcoHikes!
EcoHikes for children is a chance for students to explore the outdoors, learn about the environment, and take action to help their community. Through these experiences, we hope to create future leaders who care about protecting the natural world.
Meeting Point: In front of the Van Cortlandt Golf House, right before hitting the Lake House Cafe.
Important Details:
- We’ll be outside the whole time; dress appropriately for the weather
- All children must be accompanied by an adult
- Recommended for ages 6+.
- There will not be space available to leave strollers/bikes/scooters during our hike
- Friendly and well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome!
