For our last week of Bring Nature Home we want to celebrate pollinators! Often small and overlooked, these insects, birds, and other animals are responsible for keeping nature as lush and diverse as it is. Without them many plants wouldn’t exist and at least a third of the food you eat would not be here either. Bring Nature Home: Part 14

We hope everyone has had a chance to get outside, safely of course, and enjoy the past week. The beautiful weather, sunny skies, birds chirping, and nature blooming around us has been soothing and restorative. This week lets practice using our senses and growing our vocabulary and descriptive skills with a touch table. This is a go to activity for small children. It gets them active to collect the items, gets them curious as they study each item while practicing fine motor skills, and gets them learning new words in the context of a sensory experience they will remember.
