Bimonthly Wednesdays meeting at 9am
Come learn about the health of Tibbetts Brook and Van Cortlandt Lake while assisting in gathering data. Open to adults, 18 and over only. Please contact John at john@vancortlandt.org to learn more.

Ecology & History in Van Cortlandt Park
Saturday January 26th- meeting at 1pm
The Friends are joining the Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC) for a winter walk through NYC’s third largest park. This gem of the Bronx contains both incredible natural beauty and cultural significance, including over 600 acres of forest, 200-year-old trees and the oldest house in the borough. NAC will include details from their research in the park and 25-year plan for NYC forests.  Register prior to event for meeting location.  

Bronx Parks Speak Up
Saturday February 23rd from 11am to 5pm
The Friends’ will be tabling and presenting at this Bronxwide parks event.  Join us for 25 years of speaking up- 25 years of successes, not quite successes and broken promises.  Presentations, Workshops, Networking! Lunch provided and bring your own water bottle.  More details at bronxspeakup.org.

The Friends will have additional events starting in April 2019 and will announce our Spring Events by February 2019.  In the meantime, if you have a group of 10 or more that would like to do an educational or stewardship program with us please reach out to info@vancortlandt.org or 718-601-1460.
