Multiflora Rose Removal at Van Cortlandt Park

Join the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance for our Forest Fridays and special Saturday this January, where we’ll tackle the pervasive Multiflora rose. Our efforts will focus on uprooting these invasive species, clearing the way for native wetland biodiversity to thrive.
- Dates: Four Fridays in January and a special event on Saturday, January 20th
- Time: 10 AM – 1 PM
- Location: Meet at the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance Education Garden & Compost site.
- What to Expect: Engaging in environmental restoration by removing Multiflora rose. They do have thorns, but we will try to avoid them by cutting and removing carefully.
- What to Bring: Wear sturdy, thick clothing (preferably not nylon) to protect against thorns. Gloves and tools provided.
