SUMMARY:Birding with NYC Audubon
DESCRIPTION:Van Cortlandt Park Alliance and New York City Audubon invite you to join us during five Saturday sessions of birding in the park. \nExplore Van Cortlandt Park’s ecologically diverse grounds and celebrate a long tradition of birding in the park. We will look for various species of resident and migratory birds and discuss a wide range of avian topics. Each walk will be led by a New York City Audubon guide. \nAdvance registration is required. You must register separately for each date you would like to attend. \nEvents are on Saturdays meeting at 9am on the following dates: \n\nApril 6\nApril 13\nMay 11 (World Migratory Bird Day)\nMay 18\nJune 15\n\nNote: We do not provide binoculars and suggest that attendees bring their own. \nWant us to continue birding programs in the future? DESCRIPTION:Join the Van Cortlandt Track Club for a hilly and rugged\, technical race on the wooded trails of historic Van Cortlandt Park in the heart of the Bronx. \nWhere: Bib pick-up race start will be at the Tortoise and the Hare statue (500 yards north of the last stop on the 1 train at 242nd Street/Van Cortlandt Park); across from Lloyd’s Carrot Cake at 6087 Broadway\, Bronx\, NY 10471 \nEntry Fee: $ 35 online pre-registration: $40 on the day of the race\nA portion of race proceeds will be dedicated to Van Cortlandt Park Alliance’s trail maintenance and youth programs. \nAwards: Carrot cakes to first male and female finishers.
