DESCRIPTION:  \nPlease Note: Friday December 16th Forest Friday is canceled due to inclement weather forecast. \nHelp with winter forest care and spend some time outside this December! \nWith 640 acres of forest and wetlands\, Van Cortlandt Park could use your help! \nFor December Forest Fridays\, we are focusing on caring for the Northwest forest. Make sure to bundle up warm\, wear sturdy closed-toe shoes\, and bring some water! All other tools will be provided. No prior experience needed. \nMeet us at the VCPA Compost and Garden site (right across from the Riverdale Stables) and we will walk to our worksite in the park together.

We will look for various species of resident and migratory birds and discuss a wide range of avian topics. Each walk will be led by a New York City Audubon guide. \nAdvance registration is required.
