SUMMARY:Birdwalks with New York City Audubon
DESCRIPTION:Van Cortlandt Park Alliance and NYC Audubon invite you to join us for weekly birdwalks this fall.  Explore Van Cortlandt Park’s ecologically diverse grounds and celebrate a long tradition of birding in the park. We will look for various species of resident and migratory birds and discuss a wide range of avian topics. Each walk will be lead by a NYC Audubon guide. \nAttendees are required to wear masks and follow social distancing protocols while at the event. Come join Alex\, Field Scientist and Research Coordinator and Paulina\, Director of Youth Internships as we explore the creatures that inhabit our park in this special Halloween-themed workshop. \nAs a special Halloween treat we will have an interactive live animal creepy crawly exhibit. Exhibits will include Giant Roaches\, Slithering Snakes\, Chirpy Crickets and Slimy worms! \nHalloween Costumes are encouraged and trick or treat bags will be given to kids! \nAdvance Registration is Required.
