DESCRIPTION:Please note: Due to extreme heat we are canceling the 6/21 Forest Friday session. \nJoin us at Van Cortlandt Park for a meaningful morning of forest restoration! Experience the last weeks of spring in the forest by helping us remove invasive species like multi-flora rose and bittersweet. Gear up for some hands-on conservation work and learn about the forest’s ecosystem. \nWhen & Where: \n\nDates: June 7th\, 14th and 28th\nTime: 9 AM – Noon\nLocation: VCPA Garden Education and Compost Site\, across from Riverdale Stables\n\nActivities Include: \n\nInvasive species removal\nEducational insights on forest health\nCommunity engagement\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\nSturdy shoes and protective clothing\nWater/tea and snacks\nSunscreen and bug spray\n\nWe Provide: \n\nTools and gloves\nGuidance and support\n\nGet Involved:\nReady to make a difference?
